On January 22, 2019, legislators will convene in Salem to discuss a variety of topics that include revenue, education, healthcare and taxes.

Legislative committees have been meeting to discuss and craft bills. Last Thursday, in the Oregon Legislative Information System (https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/2019R1#), over 1,500 bills were introduced. The legislature will be considering significant changes to Oregon Tax structure, healthcare and Medicaid, education funding, PERS, cost containment, cap and trade (carbon reduction schemes) and changes to employment law.
