The McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the appointment of John Olson as its new president and CEO.

Olson has an extensive background in both the private and nonprofit sectors and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in strategic partnerships and member relations. He has 20 years of experience in leading non-profits and in public advocacy. He most recently served as the Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships for Linfield University. With his extensive experience in community engagement and a commitment to growth and prosperity in our region, Olson is well positioned to lead the Chamber into the future.

Olson will officially assume his role as president and CEO on April 1, 2024.

In response to his appointment, Olson expressed his enthusiasm and dedication to the role, saying, “I am truly honored to have been chosen to lead the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce. McMinnville and its surrounding region are rich in opportunity, and I look forward to collaborating with our diverse business community, stakeholders and partners to foster economic growth, create jobs and enhance the quality of life for all residents.”

On behalf of the Executive Board, Simpson also expressed her appreciation to Holly Gleason and Rhonda Pope and the chamber board.  “We are grateful for Holly and Rhonda and the chamber board’s work over the past 9 months, which has kept the Chamber moving forward and laid the groundwork for continued success.”
