C.E. Parker founded First American Title with small humble beginnings tracing back to 1989 in Orange County California, then doing business as Orange County Title Company. Over the years the company has expanded far beyond borders changing its name to First American Title. It serves nearly 70 countries, with being the first title insurance provider in Mexico, Korea, and Hong Kong, as well as being the leading market share in Australia and England.

First American Title officially began operations in Yamhill County in 2004 when they acquired one of their long-time agents, Northwest Title Company. Northwest Title Company began operations in Yamhill County in May of 1974. During this time, Northwest Title Company was writing policies under several different national title insurers, but in 1977, an agreement was reached for First American Title to solely provide policy coverage to clients in Yamhill County through Northwest Title Company.
