The 15th annual Jerry Paine Scholarship Fundraiser Show will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at Gallery Theater. You won’t want to miss this final Salute to USO. It is sure to be a memory inducing “good trip” and a fun event for the whole family.
This year’s production is a variety show of various mediums. We take the audience on a tour of several decades from the 40’s to the 80’s, with music and comedy. From the old days of radio through the television era, we give you a nostalgic bit of history. Chris Benham and Adam Ewing will anchor the show. Jeff and Julia Sargent, Karl Klooster, Meridith Symons plus other surprise guests will add to this final curtain call of the USO fundraiser. Along with the Frank Messina big band we will include two choral groups; the Dayton Daytones and Vintage Voices.
The show is directed by Mark Williams, produced by Joyce Messina with musical direction by Frank Messina.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Jerry Paine’s passing. Jerry was a Gallery Theater regular for many years, and a great friend to so many who knew him and worked with him. When he died in 1986, he left a permanent legacy by giving a sum of money to Gallery Theater, with the wish that it be used to provide scholarships for high school seniors who planned to pursue the performing arts in college. Gallery Theater is honored to provide this scholarship every year, and the revenue that is generated by the annual Fundraiser Show ensures that we will continue to do so. Look for a special tribute to Jerry Paine in the Gallery Theater lobby when you attend the show, and learn more about this wonderful, generous human being.
