The 2025 Contest is Open – Let’s Celebrate Local Manufacturing! If you’re manufacturing something amazing right here in Yamhill County, we want to see it!
From precision parts to cutting-edge tech, Yamhill County is home to some seriously impressive manufacturing – and now it’s time to show it off.
In partnership with McMinnville Industrial Promotions, McMinnville Economic Development Partnership, Yamhill County Economic Development and the News-Register is excited to host the nomination site for this competition to name the Coolest Thing Made in Yamhill County.
Nominations to the contest must be produced using a manufacturing process, thus excluding handmade products. The winner, finalists and other Cool Things made locally will be featured in an edition of the News-Register. The Coolest Thing 2025 winner will be announced at the MEDP: Annual McMinnovation Awards on Wednesday, October 15th.
