Bridge beam placement for the Bypass over OR 99W in Dundee is scheduled October 19-20
Beam placement for the Newberg-Dundee Bypass Phase 1 bridge over OR 99W on the southwest side of Dundee is scheduled for two evenings, Monday and Tuesday, October 19 and 20. A total of seven bridge beams will be set over the two nights between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night.
Travelers should expect periodic 20 minute closures. There will be no detours. Travelers should avoid the area, consider an alternative route or expect delays.
The bridge is one of 10 bridges being built as part of the Bypass project. The four-mile expressway will extend from OR 99W at Springbrook Road on the east, through OR 219 and extending to OR 99W south of Dundee.
Phase 1 is being built by Oregon firms under several contracts. Hamilton Construction of Eugene is working on the Dundee side of the Bypass that includes the OR 99W bridge. The Bypass project is on schedule to be completed in late 2017.
