Yamhill County, Ore.  – It’s time for many of this year’s graduating seniors to head to their chosen institution for higher education.  First Federal is pleased to support eight graduating seniors who have chosen to attend Chemeketa Community College, Corban University, Oregon State University, Reed College, and Western Oregon University. One scholarship recipient was chosen from each of the seven public high schools, as well as one private or home schooled student, in Yamhill County. Applications were evaluated based on excellent character, financial need, work experience, demonstration of leadership skills, community involvement, and grades.  This year, First Federal added the option of a trade or specialized school to the qualified higher education options.

First Federal has awarded $262,500 to 189 students in Yamhill County since the program began in 1996.

First Federal was founded in 1922, offering a new banking choice for Yamhill County residents.
