A band for all ages…..The band, under the direction of Pat Lay, held it’s first rehearsal on March 23, 1998, with ten musicians, and has grown to more than fifty musicians of all ages with very diverse backgrounds. In addition to providing free band concerts throughout the area, SWCB also provides a wonderful opportunity for musicians who want to participate in a concert band.
Some past performances include: Turkey Rama, McMinnville; Willamina Fourth of July; Oregon Symphonic Band’s Adult Band Festival; McMinnville School District All-District Band Concert; McMinnville Christmas Parade; Rock of Ages Air Show & Habitat for Humanity Run, Walk, Ride just to name a few.
SWCB provides a wonderful opportunity for musicians who want to participate in a concert band. No audition is necessary to join.
